This is a great post! Since I had my son, I have really started reading labels, and I am honestly freaked out by what is in most easy foods, even canned soups and other things you don’t think about. I have definitely changed our eating. We were never terrible eaters, but you won’t find processed crackers ( unless they are organic) white flour products, or chemical sugars in my kitchen. I feel like I would be feeding my child poison! It can be pricey, but we cut money other places. It’s all about priorities.

I’ll be honest, I don’t hardly ever use mint in my food. It sounds fun to dry herbs Little House on the Prairie style though

Such great info! I keep trying to grow strawberries, but then we keep moving One of these years we’ll decide to stay put, and I’ll actually get to enjoy the money saving organic strawberries. In the meantime, I’ll just spend all our fun money on the delicious berries.

It seems like no categories are really safe anymore – know what I mean? But I have to say that I shudder extra hard on the meat ones and am glad we have it ever so rarely.

I had many long non-secretive candy years. I used to go to the gift shop at the Holiday Inn with Tommy and spend almost all of my allowance on candy. Yikes!
